Product Name: Yeast RNA

Product Description:

Yeast RNA is a very effective blocking agent used in Northern hybridization buffers and is rigorously tested for RNase and DNase contamination. This product is suspended in nuclease-free water at a concentration of 10 mg/ml.
Application:
Precipitation of Nucleic Acids

Adjust the monovalent cation concentration of the solution (e.g., to 0.5 M NH4OAc, to 0.25 M NaCl, or to 0.3 M NaOAc). Add Yeast RNA to a final concentration of 10–20 μg/mL, mix well, and then mix with 2 volumes of ethanol. Chill at least 15 min at or below –20°C. Centrifuge for at least 15 min at ≥10,000 x g. Carefully remove the supernatant fluid, and resuspend the pellet in an appropriate buffer.
